At’least explain why angel island is in the water. Its strange that the game coming from the people that made sure ray and mightys running styles were on point with the arcade game sega sonic couldn't bother to add more to knuckles route and encore mode. The classic sonic games always had one thing that mania doesn’t! (they were all connected and allowed for you to be immersed in the story.) Due to manias plot holes and issues does it feel separate to the classics in a bad way. I just feel that ray and mightys campaign was underwhelming. if thats was the case they could have charged more money if they felt it was necessary. but for sonic manias encore mode you should expect almost a different game. I understand if in mania mode ray and mighty don’t have separate routes because their character routes aren't cannon. There was so much potential with this dlc but it flopped due to laziness. (in encore mode) You would assume the hardboiled heavies learned their lesson and would teleport sonic and friends to different harder locations controlled by them without eggmans influence. Some levels being day and going straight to night and then back to day very weirdly.) It also doesn’t make sense how even tho the hardboiled heavies rebelled against eggman they are still working together with eggman. In knuckles route (which is a cannon character route) even tho sonic defeats all the bosses knuckles takes the exact same route as sonic and fights the same bosses which generally makes no sense, and in encore mode you go through the exact same bosses and locations again besides the changes in day! (Which makes you wonder why mania mode didn't have that to begin with because it seemed inconsistent with its day to night changes. You risk having your FontStruct account deleted, if you do so.My personal vendetta against this game is that the story makes absolutely no sense! Angel island is in the water without explanation even tho after sonic 3 and knuckles we see it clearly rising back to the sky.
